Nigerian International, Alex Iwobi, has been lauded by football fans despite his club, Arsenal, being hammered 5-1 by Liverpool yesterday at Anfield.
The 23 years old midfielder produced some of the few positives that can be taken from their horrific display against the table topper, Liverpool, by first exhibiting a great tenacious ball recovery skills before following it up with an exquisite crossing for Maitland-Niles to finish off superbly.
He was also a thorn in the flesh of the Reds defensive set up as he continually got the better of his marker during the encounter. As a result of this, football lovers have been on social media lauding the Nigerian.
What they are saying:
@ColossalChig Iwobi was prob our best player. He tried, driving at players, assisted AMN, causing TAA problems, but if he done what Auba did today he'd be getting abused left right and centre
