Recently, many Nigerian dailies carry headlines of Boko Haram insurgents killing men of the Nigerian army including civilians but Army keep refuting those reports.
On Friday and Saturday, 7th and 8th September, Boko haram terrorists reportedly overran Gudumbali in Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno State killing many soldiers and civilians.
Obviously reacting to the news, out-going governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has said the continuous news of soldiers dying at the hands of Boko Haram is disturbing.
The governor has also asked the federal government to stop hoarding the truth from Nigerians, as they need to know that Boko Haram is not ‘technically defeated’.
Speaking via Twitter on Monday morning, the governor who said he buried his 2019 presidential ambition because the All Progressives Congress(APC) rigged the governorship election of his state, wrote;
News on Boko Haram killing our soldiers is disturbing. May God protect these men who are risking their lives to defend our country.
Most importantly, FG must tell Nigerians the truth on this "technically defeated" Boko Haram still overrunning military base and killing soldiers.— Peter Ayodele Fayose (@GovAyoFayose) September 10, 2018
