The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has the September 22nd Osun state governorship election is one of the most keenly contested in recent times. The electoral body noted that though the election went largely well but due to some cancellations.
In a statement by the commission on Sunday, it noted that the Returning Officern, Adeola Fa, Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology, Akure, couldn’t make a return in accordance with the legal framework and INEC guidelines.
According to the Returning Officer, the margin between the leading parties(APC and PDP) was just 353, which is lower than the number of registered voters in the affected areas.
