A South African man who stole from a native doctor years ago, has disclosed that he regrets his action that has brought him untold suffering, and wants to pay back.
49-year-old Pule Motshabi who walks the streets of Turflaagte Kasi in Free State, South Africa without any clothes on, thinks he is being punished by his ancestors for stealing from the native doctor eight years ago.
Pule Motshabi who admitted that used to steal from people by pick-pocketing them and he was never caught – but the theft from the native doctor has caused him a life of suffering, added that he wants to pay back.
The South African man who is worried the native doctor he stole from has died and might have to spend the rest of his life being punished by the ancestors, told Daily Sun;
“I have looked for him everywhere. I am like a mad man. I sometimes walk down the street naked and only discover later that I have no clothes on,” he said. “I really need to ask for forgiveness and pay him back.”
Mojimang Shupping, Pule’s aunt who told Daily Sun that it hurts her to see her nephew walking around naked, said;
“Sometimes people beat him up because they think he is a witch,” she said.
“I have taken him to many native doctors, but they say the only thing that will set him free is paying back the money.”
A native doctor named Rakouana Mamoya who also shared his thought on the incident, said;
“If the native doctor has passed away, the man must search for his family to pay back the money and let the family ask the ancestors to forgive him.
“There is no native doctor who can help him. Only the ancestors of that native can help him.”
