Leaders of African nations are currently in China for the Beijing Summit of the Forum on Africa-China Cooperation.
The Summit, which kicked off today, had the leaders of the 54 African countries in attendance.
A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has criticised the venue of the summit. According to Omokri, leaders of African nations had to leave their continent to meet just one nation(China) – asking why the summit couldn’t have been held in one of the African countries.
Taking to his twitter handle on Monday, Omokri mocked African leaders for not ‘respecting’ themselves.
China and Africa are having a conference involving all African nations and one nation (China). Yet, it is African leaders who have to go to China. There are 54 nations in Africa. Why could the conference not hold in Africa? African leaders do not respect themselves? #RenosDarts
