Senator Shehu Sani has taken a subtle sub at a national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu and President Muhammadu Buhari after the former hailed the latter for his integrity and honesty.
According to Asiwaju, unlike other candidates running in the 2019 presidential election, like Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), whose integrity are questionable, Buhari’s is excellent.
In a statement released by Tunde Rahman, his media officer, on Tuesday, the former Lagos state governor said Buhari is a man of his words, when he says yes it stays.
“Leave a naira on the table with Buhari in the room, you will find the naira on the table when you return,” he said.
“When Buhari says ‘yes’ or ‘no’, you know where he stands. He means what he says, no more, no less.
However, the former APC lawmaker who left the party after a fallout with his state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, and subsequently the omission of his name from the list of candidates to represent the party in the 2019 National Assembly election, no Nigerian cares about One Naira anymore.
