Senator Ben Murray Bruce has said Nigerians have now overtaken India as world headquarters for infant mortality and out of school children population.
The lawmaker from Bayelsa state, who is very popular on Twitter, made the assertion on the platform on Friday.
According to the Silverbird group CEO, he ‘read’ about the news which has now left him, totally ‘devastated’.
Ben Bruce took a swipe at the present government, who he said promised Nigerians change but has only successfully delivered nightmares.
He wrote:
Just devastated to read that not only have we taken over from India as world headquarters for extreme poverty, we have also taken over from India as world headquarters for infant mortality and out of school children population. They promised us change and delivered nightmares!
