The winner of the recent governorship election in Osun State and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Gboyega Oyetola has been sworn in as Governor of the state.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had declared Oyetola winner of the governorship election in state.
The INEC Returning Officer in the state, Prof. Joseph Adeola Afuwape had announced that Oyetola garnered 255,505 votes to defeat his main rival, Senator Ademola Adeleke of the PDP, who polled 255,023 votes.
The swearing-in event had in attendance: governors from the South-West, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha, who represented President Muhammadu Buhari, the Ooni of Ife, among others.
