BREAKING: Atiku Abubakar wins PDP presidential primaries, to challenge Buhari

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has won the PDP presidential primary held in Port Harcourt for the 2019 general elections.

Atiku won the primary election with an outstanding 1,532 votes. He was followed by Governor Aminu Tambuwal who polled 693 votes and Senate President Bukola Saraki who polled 317 votes.

Other contestants who were in the race are Senate President Bukola Saraki, Gombe State Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo, Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, Senator Jonah Jang, Senator David Mark, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, Dr. Ahmed Datti, former Governor Sule Lamido, Mr. Taminu Turaki and former Governor Attahiru Bafarawa.

Fromer minister, Femi Fani Kayode took to his Twitter page to congratulate Atiku on his victory at the primary elections, he wrote;

Congrats to the Waziri of Adamawa Atiku Abubakar on a great victory. Now is the time for each and every one of us in @OfficialPDPNig to come together as a party and prepare for the presidential election. @APCNigeria get ready for war! @MBuhari prepare for your retirement!
