Liverpool’s summer signing, Alisson Becker, almost squandered the red’s lead when he was dispossessed by Nigerian international, Kelechi Iheanacho which resulted in their lead being cut by one goal.
Liverpool were 2-0 up at half time and looked to be cruising to victory until one moment of madness from the Brazilian shot stopper made Iheanacho dispossess him after trying to dribble past the Nigerian International. Iheanacho duly passed the ball to Rachid Ghezzal who was left with the simple task of tapping him.
Had Allison not made the error, he would have made record as the first Liverpool goalkeeper to go 4 straight matches without conceding in his debut season. Football lovers are as a result of this reacting on social media.
What people are saying:
Good man Alisson! Learn from it and move on! Let’s not forget this man has made no mistakes that led to a goal in 50 games leading up to this one!
