Out-going governor of Ekiti states drew the attention of trolls after he announced that he had shelved his presidential ambition.
According to his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, the governor decided to bury his ambition to be president because the All Progressives Congress rigged the last gubernatorial election in the state.
Adelusi said:
“Governor Ayodele Fayose has decided to bury his ambition because of the last Ekiti governorship election that was rigged by the APC and we have already filed a petition at the tribunal.”
Many have mocked the governor for dropping his ambition after he declared that ‘God had told him. They teased him for not ‘picking God’s call to rule Nigeria’s and shelving it because he wants to concentrate on claiming ‘the stolen mandate’ of his deputy, Prof Kolapo Eleka.

Some months ago @GovAyoFayose claimed that God told him that he will succeed @MBuhari as the nest @NGRPresident come 2019. Today, he said because @OfficialAPCNg won #EkitiDecides2018, he will not contest again.
Is Fayose now playing with God? @Ayourb @Mr_JAGs @PhilipObin— Ayuba Ibn Braimah 🇳🇬. (@Ayuba_B) September 8, 2018
Reason @GovAyoFayose gave for dropping his Presidential race is so funny.
He wants to concentrate on the petition filed by Eleka at the election tribunal over the last Ekiti election.
In simple English. Ayodele Fayose can not multitask. https://t.co/fQlQzkcdqE

If PDP had won Ekiti, Fayose would have been the first aspirant to pick his form. APC winning Ekiti was a blessing in disguise for PDP but not one letter of appreciation till date
