Nigerians have taken to social media to react news that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) has to the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, to place Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state on a watch list .
The EFCC in the letter said the out-going Governor may have a plan to runaway from the country hence the request to put him under surveillance. Reacting to the news, many commenters criticised the government of double standards.
According to some, former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun who stepped down from her position for forging her National Youth Service Corps certificate was allowed to leave the country and nothing was done to her. However, there were a few, who said the government made a right move.

EFCC writes Nigeria Customs Service to stop Fayose from fleeing the country. Fayose don turn to container?
In EFCC's mind, the Nigerian Immigration Service is in charge of regulating Telecoms.
I can't decide who is more daft…Magu or Buhari. It is beyond embarrassing. 😚

EFCC placed a sitting governor like Fayose, with constitutional immunity on watch list & not allowed to leave the country, but someone like Kemi Adeosun with criminal offence & no immunity, left the country with no EFCC stopping her. Double standard, & selective prosecution.

On this Fayose issue, I've seen a lot of Nigerians tweet rubbish.
I get it, you are against the government, but at least let those that have stolen from you be allowed to face the consequences. Yes, Adeosun left Nigeria, but do you know the deal she made?
