Germany, put their last World cup misery behind them to give France plenty to think about yesterday when the two countries met at the ongoing UEFA Nations League tournament in Munich, Germany.
France midfielder, Benjamin Pavard, whose stunning goal at the just concluded World cup in Russia is also in the running for the Puska’s award was at the receiving end of a nasty challenge from Germany defender, Antonio Rudiger.
Rudiger, was trying to beat the defender when he got dispossessed and in a bid to regain the ball, he stood on the defenders neck and gave him some bruise.
He however, apologized to Pavard for the nasty stamp after the match.
See video below:
The nasty stamp from Rudiger on Pavard. Looks an intentional kick out from the last angle. pic.twitter.com/4rlrIdMxeu

What people are saying:
Saw it, don't think it was intentional but he clearly could have done more to minimize the contact.
