President Muhammadu Buhari received at State House on Tuesday, the group(NCAN) that bought him his presidential nomination and expression of interest forms.
The group’s gesture had sparked national debate, after they purchased the N45m All Progressives Congress(APC) presidential form for the president.
Many were of the opinion that the group’s magnanimous gift to the president amounted to corruption as the president due to his office, isn’t obliged to accept such.
However, the president today received the group at Aso Rock as he was presented with the forms. Buhari speaking via Twitter on Monday afternoon wrote:
Just now at the State House I was presented with the APC Presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, by the Nigeria Consolidation Ambassadors Network (NCAN). A mixture of familiar faces, as well as new ones, united by a common vision of a secure & prosperous Nigeria. pic.twitter.com/OH0RaQZl1l
