Lagos state All Progressives Congress(APC) governorship primaries is starting to look like an impending war as Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, and two others, Mr. Jide Sanwonolu and Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, picked the governorship nomination forms for the 2019 contest in the state.
Words on the street have it that, one of the aspirants, Jide Sanwonolu, has the backing of top members of Tinubu’s cabal. Earlier, there were speculations that Ambode had fallen out of favour with National leader, Bola Tinubu hence the reason for rumoured defection.
According to the reports, Ambode fell out with these men, because some of his policies didn’t alignment with their economic lifeline.
Nigerians have kept their fingers crossed as they await how the scenarios in the coming weeks will unfold but have however taken to social media to react to the news.
