Apple becomes First $1trillion Company

Apple has become the first company ever to be worth $1 trillion. Stock for the company passed $207.04 a share on Tuesday (August 2), which helped them pass over into trillion dollar territory. Stock for the company is now up more than 20% this year.

Amazon will likely follow Apple at some point, as they hit the $900 million market value in July. Apple had a head start, as they reached the same threshold in November.
