Gunmen Attack Police Station Kill One, Injure Others

At least A policemen have been killed in a gun attack at Kolo police station in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa state.

 

According to a Breaking News report by Channels Television, some unknown gunmen have killed one policeman and injured three others during an attack on Kolo Police Station in Ogbia LGA of Bayelsa State.

Eye witness reports say the attack which happened around 8:00 am on Tuesday morning was carried out by suspected oil thieves.

Spokesman of state police command, Asinim Butswat, had initially said he was not aware of the attack. “I am not aware of the incident that you are talking about. Let me check and get back to you,” he had told TheCable.

However, he later confirmed the attack and said the command lost three policemen to the attack.

Barely two days ago, a similar attack was said to have occured in Ekeremor Local Government Area of the state where a local boat owner was abducted.
