Some single folks out there may think that once marriage starts, s*x stops. However, a survey commissioned by iVillage, an online community for women, shows that betrothed ladies are just as into making love as their non-coupled counterparts. In addition to emphasizing the importance of s*x in a relationship, the Married s*x Survey also may provide husbands with some tips on how to leave their lover satisfied.
The website polled 1,001 married women between the ages of 18 and 49. They were asked questions about their need for s*x, how their hubbies measured up in bed and what gets them in the mood.
According to the survey, to get ladies turned on, in some cases all their husbands have to do is be open about their feelings. Around 67 percent of respondents said that their husband professing his love is enough to get them ready for a roll in the hay.
When it comes to motivations for marriage, it looks like s*x may play a factor. Just under half of survey participants, 46 percent, said that the man they married was “their best s*x.” Within the month preceding the survey, four out of five women surveyed said they had been in the mood for some intimate loving with their beau. And since it seems like plenty of married guys are always ready to get down and dirty, we wouldn’t be surprised if many of the women who took part in the survey broke out the personal lubricant and condoms and got down to business when the mood struck.
“This research sets the record straight: married women definitely value good s*x in their relationships, and the results of this poll gave us some great insight on how to help make the s*x they’re having even better,” said Liz Zack, Editorial Director of Love and s*x for iVillage.
