According to Daily Star UK, Lacey Sponsler flashed her private parts to students in the middle of a lesson while trying to be a “cool teacher”, according to police.
Teens saw her private parts when she did a cartwheel and her long skirt flipped up revealing all while she was not wearing underwear.
Sponsler, 34, was caught on a Snapchat video during the incident which went viral at the time.
Yesterday, she pleaded guilty to assault after the charge was reduced from indecent exposure.
The teacher was given a two year suspended sentence and was banned from the classroom for two years after choir practice at Pawhuska Junior High School, Oklahoma.
She was also given a $200 (£150) fine, but will not have to sign the s*x offenders register.
Sponsler was initially arrested for indecency after a 17-year-old pupil shared the video.
The teacher initially denied the incident, and said she did not remember doing the cartwheel, reports the New York Post.
She claimed she was “dancing with students” and “trying to a be a cool teacher”, according to a police report.
Teens saw the teacher’s private parts “as her legs were in the air” when her dress “flipped up”, the report said.
Defense attorney Nathan Milner told ABC 8 that Sponsler believes the incident was “blown out of proportion” and added she is glad the case is over.
He added: “Anything that happens at school or when kids are around are going to be blown out of proportion.
“I’m highly confident that there’s no issues at all, so I think this was just to get this behind her. She’ll find a great job and move on with her life.”
